MC93 Bobigny
April 18
The Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, originally from Chicago and now based in New York City, is a funky jazz group who has performed and recorded with many famous artists, including Mos Def, Erykah Badu and Maxwell. Friday, April 18, they brought their unique blend of jazz horns and hip-hop vibes to the Banlieues Bleues festival at the MC93 in Bobigny. The band, consisting of 7 horns and a drummer, brought the house down. Nobody in the audience could hold still; those that weren’t dancing in the aisles were grooving in their seats.
The Hypnotic Brass Ensemble plans to return to Paris around the end of June, so be sure to check Streetblogger for more information on their return dates and venue.
